William W Stack, 82, of Saybrook died at 9:30 a.m. yesterday, July 27, 1990 at Mennonite Hospital, Bloomington, McLean, Illinois. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Saybrook, the Rev. Joseph Mai Chi Thanh officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saybrook, McLean, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
William W Stack was born April 3, 1908 in Bellflower, McLean, Illinois, a son of John J and Nora (Tobin) Stack. He married Bernadine B Wyckoff on June 8, 1937 in Thomasboro, Champaign, Illinois. She died October 23, 1985.
Surviving are one son, Larry, Springfield; two grandchildren; one brother, Edward, address unknown; three sisters, Mary McCleary, Tucson, Arizona.; Frances Delaney, Redlands, California; and Helen Bolger, Wheaton, DuPage, Illinois. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
William W Stack was a farmer and was in the farm implement business. He was a founding board member of the Gibson Community Hospital in Gibson City, Ford, Illinois, was a charter member and past president of Saybrook Lions Club, and was active in the Democratic Party in McLean County, Illinois. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellflower, McLean, Illinois.
